Get to Know Me Better

I was born on September 21, 2003 the International Day of Peace in Pakistan, into an Afghan refugee family. My parents had fled the war and insecurity in Afghanistan, seeking safety across the border. I spent the early years of my childhood in exile, and attended school in Pakistan for just a short period barely two months. But originally, I am from Kabul, Afghanistan.

Around the age of five, I returned to Afghanistan with my family, and in March 2010, I began my formal education at the age of six. I completed my early schooling (grades 1 to 6) at Nahid Shaheed High School, and continued grades 7 through 12 at Mohammad Ismail Hassanzai High School.

It was during grade 7, at just 12 years old, that I officially began my volunteering journey. This marked a turning point in my life a moment that ignited in me a deep sense of responsibility, empathy, and commitment to community service.

Driven by my growing belief in youth leadership and the power of education, I founded the Generation of Thinkers in 2019, while I was in 10th grade and only 15 years old. This youth-led organization was born out of a vision to empower young people, promote education, leadership, and create opportunities for personal and social development especially in communities that need it the most.

Eventually, I graduated from high school in 2021 (1400), but my journey of learning, leading, and giving back to society continues to this day. It has become more than a mission it is a way of life.
